Hiked Devils Peak via 7 Lakes Basin trail recently. Started at the 7 Lakes Basin trailhead just outside Prospect Oregon. I’ve hiked this trail before but not as a route to Devils Peak. The trail is a bit steep and very rocky. I used the Devils Peak trail 984 to get to the PCT which took me to Devils Peak.

The Devils Peak trail offers a great via of Alta lake. The picture is horrible though. Should have taken my mirror less camera with me. The terrain in that area is pretty nice. Lots of deep forest with plenty of shade most of the way.

This was a 11 mile in and out with around 2k feet of elevation gain. If you have plenty of time and energy you can make a loop via Cliff Lake which is approximately 14 miles.
